Comment function on this website

When you use the comment function on this page, in addition to your comment, information about when the comment was created, your e-mail address and, if you do not post anonymously, the username you have chosen will be stored.

Storage of the IP address

The comment function stores the IP addresses of users who write comments. This is pointed out by data protection information under the comment field before the comment is sent and must be confirmed. This function uses the WP DSGVO Tools plugin.

We need this data to be able to take action against the author in the event of legal violations such as defamation or propaganda.

The comments and the associated data (e.g. IP address) are stored and remain on our website until the content commented upon has been completely deleted or the comments are required to be removed for legal reasons (slander, etc.).

Furthermore, we use the data protection-compliant plugin AntispamBee, which does not collect any personal data from users. Antispam Bee is an anti-spam program that protects us from spam comments. These are recognized by the program and automatically moved to the spam folder.

Legal basis

The comments are stored based on your consent per Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect. An informal email making this request is sufficient. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

We process and store your personal data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose of the storage or as provided by law or regulation. Once the purpose no longer applies or has been fulfilled, your personal data will be deleted or blocked. In the case of blocking, deletion will take place as soon as legal, statutory or contractual retention periods do not preclude it, there is no reason to assume that deletion will impair your interests worthy of protection and deletion will not cause a disproportionately high effort due to the special nature of the storage.

Data erasure

Data is erased on the basis of Art. 17 and 18 GDPR; the same applies to a restriction of processing and the blocking of data. The erasure or restricted processing of data is carried out if and to the extent that they are no longer required to achieve a stated purpose, unless erasure is prohibited by law (e.g. retention obligations under commercial or tax law) or otherwise agreed.

Right to data portability

You have the right to demand that we hand over any data we automatically process on the basis of your consent or in order to fulfil a contract be handed over to you or a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you should demand the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will be done only if it is technically feasible.

SSL and/or TLS encryption.

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to me cannot be read by third parties.

Contact form / Request by e-mail

If you send us an enquiry using the contact form, the information you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent.

The processing of the data entered into the contact form is therefore carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). This is mandatory before sending the message and must be set with a check mark and thus expressly consented. You can revoke this consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The information you have entered into the contact form shall remain with us until you ask us to eradicate the data, revoke your consent to the archiving of data or if the purpose for which the information is being archived no longer exists (e.g. after we have concluded our response to your inquiry). This shall be without prejudice to any mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods.

This is mandatory before the message is sent and must be explicitly consented to by checking the box. You can revoke this consent at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal e-mail. The legality of the data processing operations carried out up to the point of revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Subscribing to comments

As a site user, you can subscribe to comments after registering. You will receive a confirmation email to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided. You can unsubscribe from this function at any time via a link in the info emails. The data entered when subscribing to comments will be deleted in this case; however, if you have submitted this data to me for other purposes and elsewhere (e.g. newsletter subscription), it will remain with me.

Storage period for comments

The comments and the associated data (e.g. IP address) are stored and remain on our website until the content commented upon has been completely deleted or the comments are required to be removed for legal reasons (slander, etc.).

Deployment and use of Shariff Wrapper

We have integrated the Shariff Wrapper component into this website. The Shariff Wrapper component provides social media buttons that comply with data protection requirements. Shariff was developed for the German computer magazine c't and is published by GitHub, Inc. The Shariff Wrapper plugin implements the Shariff concept in an easy-to-use form for WordPress.

The developer of this component is GitHub, Inc. 88 Colin P. Kelly Junior Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

Usually, the button solutions provided by social networks already transfer personal data to the respective social network when a user visits a website in which a social media button has been integrated. By using the Shariff wrapper component, personal data is only transferred to social networks when the visitor to a website actively activates one of the social media buttons. Further information on the Shariff component is available from the computer magazine c't at http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Datenschutz–und–Social–Media–Der–c–t–Shariff–ist–im–Einsatz–2470103.html. The purpose of using the Shariff wrapper component is to protect the personal data of visitors to this website while also enabling us to integrate a button solution for social networks on this website.

Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of GitHub can be found at https://help.github.com/articles/.

Twitter / X

The data controller has integrated Twitter components on this website. Twitter is a multilingual, publicly accessible microblogging service on which users can publish and disseminate so-called tweets, i.e. short messages limited to 140 characters. These short messages can be accessed by anyone, including people who are not registered with Twitter. However, the tweets are also displayed to the so-called followers of the respective user. Followers are other Twitter users who follow a user's tweets. Twitter also makes it possible to address a broad audience via hashtags, links or retweets. The operating company of Twitter is Twitter, Inc, 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA.

Each time one of the individual pages of this website is accessed, which is operated by the controller and on which a Twitter component (Twitter button) has been integrated, the Internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject is automatically prompted by the respective Twitter component to download a representation of the corresponding Twitter component from Twitter. Further information about the Twitter buttons is available at https://about.twitter.com/de/resources/buttons. During the course of this technical procedure, Twitter gains knowledge of what specific sub-page of our website was visited by the data subject.

The purpose of integrating the Twitter component is to enable our users to redistribute the content of this website, to make this website known in the digital world and to increase the number of visitors.the purpose of integrating the Twitter component is to enable our users to redistribute the content of this website, to make this website known in the digital world and to increase the number of visitors.the purpose of integrating the Twitter component is to enable our users to redistribute the content of this website, to make this website known in the digital world and to increase the number of visitors.

If the data subject is logged in at the same time on Twitter, Twitter detects with every call-up to our website by the data subject-and for the entire duration of their stay on our Internet site-which specific sub-page of our Internet page was visited by the data subject. This information is collected by the Twitter component and assigned by Twitter to the respective Twitter account of the data subject. If the data subject clicks on one of the Twitter buttons integrated on our website, the data and information transmitted with it is assigned to the personal Twitter user account of the data subject and stored and processed by Twitter.

Twitter always receives information via the Twitter component that the data subject has visited our website if the data subject is logged in to Twitter at the same time as accessing our website; this occurs regardless of whether the data subject clicks on the Twitter component or not. If such a transmission of this information to Twitter is not desirable for the data subject, the delivery may be prevented if the data subject logs off from their Twitter account before a call-up to our website is made.

The applicable data protection provisions of Twitter may be retrieved under https://x.com/en/privacy.

Instagram

The data controller has integrated components of the Instagram service on this website. Instagram is a service that qualifies as an audiovisual platform and allows users to share photos and videos and also to redistribute such data in other social networks.

The operating company of the Instagram services is Instagram LLC, 1 Hacker Way, Building 14 First Floor, Menlo Park, CA, USA.

With each call-up to one of the individual pages of this Internet site, which is operated by me and on which an Instagram component (Insta button) was integrated, the Internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject is automatically prompted to the download of a display of the corresponding Instagram component of Instagram. During the course of this technical procedure, Instagram is made aware of what specific sub-page of our website was visited by the data subject.

If the data subject is logged in at the same time on Instagram, Instagram detects with every call-up to our website by the data subject-and for the entire duration of their stay on our Internet site-which specific sub-page of our Internet page was visited by the data subject. This information is collected by the Instagram component and assigned by Instagram to the respective Instagram account of the data subject. If the data subject clicks on one of the Instagram buttons integrated on our website, the data and information transmitted with it is assigned to the personal Instagram user account of the data subject and stored and processed by Instagram.

Instagram always receives information via the Instagram component that the data subject has visited our website if the data subject is logged in to Instagram at the same time as accessing our website; this occurs regardless of whether the data subject clicks on the Instagram component or not. If such a transmission of this information to Instagram is not desirable for the data subject, the delivery may be prevented if the data subject logs off from their Instagram account before a call-up to our website is made.

Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of Instagram can be found at https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388 and https://www.instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

Facebook

We have integrated components of the company Facebook on this website. Facebook is a social network.

A social network is a social meeting place operated on the Internet, an online community that generally enables users to communicate with each other and interact in virtual space. A social network can serve as a platform for the exchange of opinions and experiences or enable the Internet community to provide personal or company-related information. Facebook allows users of the social network to create private profiles, upload photos and network via friend requests, among other things.

The operating company of Facebook is Facebook, Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. If a data subject lives outside the USA or Canada, the controller for the processing of personal data is Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

With each call-up to one of the individual pages of this Internet site, which is operated by the controller and on which a Facebook component (Facebook plug-in) was integrated, the Internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject is automatically prompted to download a display of the corresponding Facebook component from Facebook through the Facebook component. A complete overview of all Facebook plug-ins can be accessed at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=de_DE. As part of this technical process, Facebook receives information about which specific sub-page of our website is visited by the data subject.

If the data subject is logged in to Facebook at the same time, Facebook recognizes which specific subpage of our website the data subject is visiting each time the data subject accesses our website and for the entire duration of the respective stay on our website. This information is collected by the Facebook component and assigned by Facebook to the respective Facebook account of the data subject.

If the data subject clicks on one of the Facebook buttons integrated on our website, for example the "Like" button, or if the data subject makes a comment, Facebook assigns this information to the personal Facebook user account of the data subject and stores this personal data.

Facebook always receives information via the Facebook component that the data subject has visited our website if the data subject is logged in to Facebook at the same time as accessing our website; this occurs regardless of whether the data subject clicks on the Facebook component or not. If such a transmission of this information to Facebook is not desirable for the data subject, the delivery may be prevented if the data subject logs off from their Facebook account before a call-up to our website is made.

The data policy published by Facebook, which is available at https://de - de.facebook.com/about/privacy/, provides information about the collection, processing and use of personal data by Facebook. It also explains what settings options Facebook offers to protect the privacy of the data subject. In addition, various applications are available that make it possible to suppress data transmission to Facebook. Such applications can be used by the data subject to suppress data transmission to Facebook.

A social network is a social meeting place operated on the Internet, an online community that generally enables users to communicate with each other and interact in virtual space. A social network can serve as a platform for the exchange of opinions and experiences or enable the Internet community to provide personal or company-related information. Among other things, social networks allow users to create private or commercial profiles and pages, upload photos and network via friend requests, followers and subscriptions.
If the data subject is logged in to one of the aforementioned networks and/or visits my pages or profiles there, this network collects and processes information that is assigned to the respective user account of the data subject.

Further information on the collection, storage and processing of user data in the social networks can be found in their respective privacy policies and/or terms of use. In some cases, these also explain the setting options offered by the respective social network to protect the privacy of the data subject. In addition, some social networks (e.g. Facebook) offer various applications that make it possible to suppress the transmission of data to Facebook. Such applications can be used by the data subject to suppress data transmission to Facebook.
